Dress for Success

Scholars’ dress, personal appearance and conduct are required to be of such character as to not disrupt or detract from the educational environment of the school. Weather and safety MUST be considered in the selection of clothing and shoes. 

The dress code is established to ensure and maintain an orderly, undisrupted school environment free from health and safety issues. 

Approved Colors

  • Black
  • Grey
  • Denim Jean
  • Khaki

Pants, Shorts & Capris

  • Uniform style only
  • Colors: navy, khaki, black, grey and denim jean.
  • Shorts/skirts: cannot be shorter than 2 inches above the knee.
  • Leggings worn under uniform style dresses and skirts must be the approved bottoms colors.
  • No sagging pants. Oversized pants must be worn with a belt.
  • Jeans must be solid in the approved uniform color and may not have any holes, tears, rips, distressed or threads.

Shirts

  • Tops must be a collared polo or button-up shirt. Shirts can be short or long sleeve.
  • They must be navy, black, grey or white. These must be a solid color without writing or logos.
  • Spirit t-shirts are allowed to be worn any day with approved uniform bottoms.
  • Undergarments should not be visible.
  • Shirts are not allowed to be low cut, loose or revealing.
  • Jeans must be solid in the approved uniform color and may not have any holes, tears, rips, distressed or threads.

Shoes

  • Shoes must be worn at all times.
  • Sandals must include a blackstrap.
  • No flip flops, slippers high heeled shoes, light up shoes or wheeled shoes.

Outerwear

  • Coats, hats and gloves/ mittens worn to and from school and for recess do not need to comply with the school colors.
  • Backpacks do not need to comply with school colors.

Jewelry & Hair

  • Hair: well-groomed and non-distracting; cannot cover eyes. Hair accessories should complement the attire of the day and be non-distracting.
  • Piercings and tattoos that interfere with the educational environment or pose a danger are forbidden.
  • Nose piercings are limited to a single stud.
  • No lip, face, eyebrow, neck piercings etc.

**Any clothes, armbands, handkerchiefs, masks, or jewelry that display gang affiliation, lewd or profane slogans, hate language, ethnic slurs, and/or promote violence, weapons, sex, drugs, tobacco, juuling, or alcohol are forbidden.

Uniform compliance will be left to the discretion of the school principal.
